Camila Cabello

Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao, was born March 3, 1997 and is an American singer, songwriter and actress, Cuban-born. As a member the girl group Fifth Harmony, she rose to fame. It was one of the most successful girl groups ever. Cabello was a member of Fifth Harmony and began to be a solo artist through the releases of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (with Shawn Mendes) and “Bad Things”, with Machine Gun Kelly. The latter reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. Camila parted from the group in late 2016.

Camila, Cabello’s debut studio album, was released in 2018. It reached number one on US Billboard 200. The Latin-influenced pop album received high reviews and was awarded a Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album’s lead single, “Havana”, topped the charts in many countries, including the UK and the US. “Never Be the Same,” the follow-up single, reached the Top Ten in multiple nations. Cabello’s 2019 duet “Senorita” with Mendes became her second top 100 single. Romance (2019), her second studio album, peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 charts and at number one in Canada. Her single “My Oh My”, reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and within the Top Ten in many countries.

Cabello’s acting debut was in 2021 when she starred as Cinderella’s title character. Cabello released her third studio album Familia in April 2022, with the single “Don’t Go Yet” released in July 2021 along with the announcement of its title. Familia’s second single, “Bam Bam”, was released in March 2022. It reached the Top 5 on the Billboard Global 200 Chart, Cabello’s highest entry. It reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. Familia reached number 10 on US Billboard 200. This was Cabello’s third Top ten album. It also reached number six in Canada, and number nine in the UK.

Cabello has amassed billions of music streams on platforms such as Spotify, and “Havana”, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, was the most-sold digital single of 2018. Cabello has received several awards, including two Latin Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards. Cabello became the first Hispanic woman to be certified Diamond in October 2021 when “Havana” was given the RIAA’s Diamond certification.
